ANN FREDERICK PURCELL
A former president of the Society of American Travel Writers, Ann Purcell has co-authored several syndicated travel photography and travel destination columns, and three travel photography books: The Traveling Photographer, A Guide to Travel Writing and Photography and Stock Photography: The Complete Guide.
Corbis Corporation, owned by Bill Gates and one of the largest international stock agencies that market photos on the internet;
PictureQuest, an Internet outlet that has worldwide exposure and with whom Annís photo library is registered as a direct agency;
Alamy, a worldwide internet outlet who specializes in European sales; and
Painet, primarily an internet agency for US newspaper and magazine editors.
Annís work has appeared in leading publications such as Life, U.S. News & World Report, National Geographic, Popular Photography, Copley News Service and Womenís World.
Ann shoots on assignment on locations in any part of the world and has done work for major advertising agencies and PR firms. She has also participated in major photographic projects for Miami and the Beaches, the St. Petersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city of Norfolk, Bermuda, the city of New Orleans, the city of Rochester, the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, the State of Virginia, Luray Caverns in Virginia. She has contributed illustration to multiple guide books and has accumulated an impressive collection of captioned color slides from 69 countries.
